Snow Day...

Well we just got our first snow storm on Tuesday. The boys loved every minute of it. They played & played....until there fingers and toes were to the point of freezing. Landon was able to discover snow for the first time & Braxton thought it was necessary that he discover the taste also. It was good to have the snow to play in for a couple of days, but it has all melted now and I can't say that I am sad.

We got about 4 inches of snow which seems like nothing when you come from Utah, but around here everything shuts down. They closed Braxton's school on Wednesday and had a 2 hour delay this morning. I just have to laugh because if we were in Utah and closed the schools for 4 inches of snow, we'd be out of school pretty much the whole winter.

After a fun snow day, we warmed ourselves with some hot chocolate. There is nothing better than that.

That is so funny! That is the truth about Utah! There has to be like 2 feet of snow before they close anything down!!! ha ha ha....

AAaahhh. The good old days. I remember growing up they called school off in Asheville on a prediction! It was sunny and warm the next day. No snow, and we were out of school.

They shut down up here too, mainly because of freezing rain. Do you guys get that in NC? The schools shut down because they don't want the buses on the icy roads with the kids. The snow here is different too, really icy and yuck! Glad the boys were able to have a snow day, those are always so fun!

That is the best kind of snow. Just enough to see the beauty and then it is gone.
