From Baby to Toddler...

Since society says a baby becomes a toddler at the age of two, my baby will no longer be a baby very very soon. In just over 2 weeks, Landon will be considered a toddler.

This being the case, Evan and I decided it was time to make him look more like a toddler, so we said goodbye to his long curls.

About half way through the haircut, Evan & I thought we made the biggest mistake ever, but we changed our minds as soon as we saw this handsome "toddler" smile at us. Isn't he ADORABLE!

Family Night...

We have never been real consistent on family home evening, especially with Evan's inconsistent schedule, but we have been trying.

Evan's dad and mom were nice enough to find this book at the DI and sent it out to us, so for the past three weeks we have been reading at least a chapter for our family home evening. We all take turns reading (except Landon of course).

Ethan was in charge, so he chose our treat and even helped make them. He did an awesome job, they were delicious!

Brax turns EIGHT...

Man, I really can't believe how fast my boys are growing up. Braxton turned EIGHT today. I can't tell you how easy it is to have Braxton as a son. He is such a smart outgoing boy. He has a love for learning, that I hope he never loses.

"umm...I would live...you know I would probably live in Montana."

Why? "because it snows a lot and my grandpa & grandma live there."

"Mmm, thats a trick question...I would probably go outside and play basketball or football."

"You know my teacher told you...MATH."

"I would say, lots of things. It depends on the day."

Who is your best friend? "My whole family is my best friends."

What do you want to be when you grow up? "Doctor, an orthopedic surgeon."

Ethan & Braxton's Pizza Parlor

We celebrated Ethan's & Braxton's birthday today by having a pizza party with friends. It was so much fun! We tried to center all our activities around pizza and cooking. I was inspired to do a pizza party by Ethan. He has a strong desire and lots of passion to be a chef, so this is for you E...

We gave all the kids a chef hat & apron.

So to start the day off, we let all the kids make their own personal pizza's...

While the pizza's were in the oven, we played PIZZA (bingo, I made the cards with items that have to do with pizza's and cooking)

By the time bingo was done, the pizza's were ready to eat.

Then we played "Pass the Pizza" (it is kind of like hot potato).

Now it was time for the pizza's(cookie) & ice cream.

The party was an absolute success! The boys loved everything about it and had a wonderful time.

Today Ethan turned SIX! I can't tell you how much joy he brings us. He is the most generous kid I know. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it.

"I wish I was at school all day" (He is in full day kindergarten, so he literally means ALL day.)

Rough Day...

It was a rough day for my little guy today. As part of Landon's therapy he had to get botox in his right arm and hand. They don't give any numbing/pain medicine for this procedure, so I was a little nervous taking Landon in. It was his first time, but probably not his last.

We were sitting in our room waiting and in walks the doctor.

Landon took one look at Dr Smith and the poor little guy started crying. It was as if he knew exactly what would happen next. I had to hold Landon down while the doctor injected him in 5 different places of his muscles. I felt horrible! He was pleading with the doctor with tears in his eyes, "No...No...No...stop" as he shook his head. It was heart wrenching!

Let's just hope that the botox benefits him enough to make it worth it.
